STMA Art heading to Washington D.C.

“Running on Empty”, a drawing by senior Mason Chartier, is headed off to Washington D.C. for a year. Mason submitted his piece to the Congressional Art Show, competing against other students within the 6th District, represented by Tom Emmer. Each spring, this nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The exhibit in Washington showcases the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the nation and the art is featured on House.gov’s Congressional Art Competition page.
