Congratulations to Tatum B., who won 2nd place in the 2018 Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest!
“To promote Youth Art Month, the Council for Art Education coordinates Youth Art Month activities at the national level. The primary event is the State Flag Program. Each state coordinates a flag design contest, with the winning design made into a flag for display in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association Convention in March. The 2017/2018 Youth Art Month Theme is ”Building Community Through Art.” Students who receive 1st place for their flag designs in elementary (k-5), middle level (6-8), and high school (9-12) each receive a flag and an art supply prize. Flags are displayed at the Youth Art Month student exhibition. The 2018 winning flag design at the elementary level will be displayed at the NAEA conference. The high school level flag becomes Youth Art Month promotional postcards. The middle-level flag will be used for YAM promotional posters.” (aem-mn.org)
